Diversity CommitteeKatten’s Diversity Committee sets overall firm strategy for increasing, enhancing and sustaining diversity within the firm. Composed of Katten’s National Managing Partner, its Chief Diversity Officer and members of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee, the Diversity Committee serves as the primary advisory body to the firm’s affinity groups.
Committee on Racial and Ethnic DiversityThe Committee on Racial and Ethnic Diversity identifies policy issues affecting minorities, develops initiatives to promote the success of minorities within the firm, and works to create an environment best suited to capitalize on the strengths of the firm’s minority attorneys. The Committee publishes the annual newsletter
Connecting Katten, which examines issues relating to diversity in law firms and provides updates on Katten’s diversity programs.
Minority Associates Committee The Minority Associates Committee provides mentoring, educational and career development support and resources, as well as leadership opportunities, for associates of color.
Women’s Leadership Forum The Women’s Leadership Forum (WLF) supports the strategic retention and advancement of women attorneys at the firm through mentoring and professional development programs designed to assist them with managing their careers, augmenting their skills and dealing with issues faced by women generally.
GLBT Coalition The GLBT Coalition helps the firm foster an inclusive environment for attorneys and recruits who are gay, lesbian, bisexual and/or transgender (GLBT) by providing educational and business opportunities for GLBT attorneys and supporting organizations that work toward equal rights for GLBT individuals and families in the broader community.
