Monica J. Mosby concentrates her practice in litigation matters. Ms. Mosby earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from DePaul University. After graduation, Ms. Mosby worked for the Illinois State Police Forensic Science Bureau as a Forensic Evidence Technician in the Firearms Section. In 2004, Ms. Mosby graduated from DePaul University School of Law, cum laude, where she was the recipient of the Michael Jahairis Academic Scholarship. During law school, Ms. Mosby served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Ronald A. Guzman of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Upon graduation, Ms. Mosby was awarded a Public Interest Law Initiative (“PILI”) Fellowship with the Federal Defender Program, where she assisted in the criminal defense of indigent individuals prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s office. Subsequently, Ms. Mosby was named to the PILI Board of Directors as the 2004-2006 Fellow Representative. Ms. Mosby is a member of the Black Women Lawyers’ Association of Greater Chicago, Cook County Bar Association, American Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in Illinois.
